Now Available: 8th Beta Edition of Big Medium 2: The Complete Guide

Posted Jun 13, 2007

I’ve just updated the Big Medium 2 book to keep it up-to-date with today’s release of the 2.0b48 update.

Big Medium 2: The Complete Guide is a comprehensive guide for writers, editors, designers and administrators. It runs about 200 pages. The new edition includes these changes:

  • Chapter 1, “Welcome”: Updated the feature list and “what’s new” list.

  • Chapter 3, “Editing Webpages”: Added a description of the new Tags field.

  • Chapter 7, “Sections and Content Categories”: Added a “What About Tags?” section to explain the relationship between tags and sections in Big Medium.

  • Chapter 9, “Templates”: Updated references to the template previously known as “overflow” to its new name, “utility.”

  • Chapter 10, “Widgets”: Updated the <%content%> widget entry and added new entries for the <%tags%>, <%tagcloud%> and <%sitemap%> widgets.

  • Chapter 14, “Site and System Properties”: Added some clarifying information about the “Maximum File Size” settings.
