Today's "Jam Session" beta update fixes several session- and login-related bugs, plus: a bug in the section structure editor, a crashing bug under Perl 5.6.1, and a tweak to the RSS feeds. Download the latest version of Big Medium here.

The New Files

If you're upgrading from v2.0b5, you can upgrade by uploading just the following 11 files or directories from the new version (make sure that your FTP client is set to "plain text" or "ASCII" mode when you upload the files).

• Fixed the login routine to properly save form submissions on session timeout so that submitted data is not forgotten on a timeout.
• Upgraded the session server to fix a bug under Perl 5.6.1 that blocked logins.
• Fixed a bug in the section structure editor that prevented changes to section order from being saved.
• Fixed a bug under Perl 5.6.1 that caused crashes when clicking new/edit links in the content editor.
• Fixed a display bug in Internet Explorer that caused the control panel menus to be partially obscured on preference menu pages.
• Updated the timestamp of RSS feed items to be the modification time to help aggregators notice updated items more reliably.
