The "Viewmaster" update adds several new features to provide enhanced
control over Big Medium's image handling. You can now add new sizes, specify
the resizing method for each format size, override automatic thumbnailing,
add individual size formats via URL and more.

Some Installation Notes
The update includes many, many JavaScript changes, and I highly
recommend that you clear your browser's cache files. Follow these steps
after you have updated to the new version:
To clear all cached files in Internet Explorer, go to "Tools>Internet
Options," click the "General" tab, and then click the "Delete Files..."
button in the "Temporary Internet Files" button.
To clear all cached files in Firefox, click the Privacy tab in
Firefox preferences and then click the "Cache" tab. Click the "Clear Cache
Now" button.
After clearing your browser's cached files, follow these steps:
- Sign into Big Medium.
- Click "New Article" to bring up an edit page.
- If you are using Internet Explorer, hit CTRL+F5. If you are using Firefox,
Camino, Netscape or Flock, hit Shift+CTRL+R (Shift+COMMAND+R for Mac).
- Click OK when you're asked if you really want to navigate away
from the current page.
The Nitty Gritty
New features:
- Added ability to specify URL for any individual image size when
adding/editing images.
- Added ability to override automatic thumbnailing and load files or URLs
for each individual image size.
- Added new "Site Image Formats" preference page to the Settings menu,
allowing you to add custom image sizes and change the scaling method that
Big Medium uses when sizing images.
- Added status bar to show progress when rebuilding pages and updating to a
new version of big Medium.
- Added two new image sizes to the default set (100x100 and 600x600). The
default gallery preview image size is now 100x100, and the default
magnification image size is 600x600.
- Added "special characters" button to the short-format display of the rich
text editor (for page descriptions, captions, etc).
Bug fixes:
- Fixed bug that prevented style editor from submitting form properly if
session expires between opening the page and submitting the form.
(Thanks to Steve Carter.)
- Fixed bug in Firefox that could cause data gobbledygook to appear on the
screen after saving images and documents under certain conditions (e.g.,
very long caption text for images).
- Fixed bug that caused rich text editor to fail to open under very specific
circumstances in the pop-up window for editing images, documents, pullquotes,
etc. This bug could also prevent the addition of a second image, document
file, pullquote, etc. in the same editing session for an individual page.
- Fixed bug that double-escaped site names when signing into a site, causing
HTML entities to be displayed.
- Fixed typo in style editor that shmooshed MarkerFelt and Monaco font names
into one non-existent MarkerFeltMonaco font.
