Big Medium 2.0b18: "Henri and Pablo"

Posted Sep 1, 2006

The "Henri and Pablo" beta update puts you in control of a broad and colorful canvas with its addition of the style editor, a nifty graphical interface for adding CSS styles to your site. This feature offers a live preview of your changes as you dabble with colors, fonts and border styles in any of more than 50 different page regions.

The style editor supplements your site's theme style, allowing you to finetune and supplement the design supplied by the theme.

This release also provides a pair of bug fixes:

  • Preview pages now display all widgets (previously did not display widgets that are internally handled via server-side includes). Preview pages also have improved handling of image display for sites located in external domains.

  • Fixed a bug that caused Safari to choke on RSS feeds; alas, this fix meant removing the tag added in 2.0b17 that tells search engines not to index the feed. (Thanks to Mike Battle.)

Download the latest version of Big Medium here.

Using the Cup o' Joe theme?

This update includes updates to the "Cup o' Joe" theme styles. For any sites using this theme, please reapply the theme via the "Templates>New Theme" menu after updating to the new version.
