Plug for the New Plugins

(updated Jun 6, 2008)
Three new plugins for Big Medium recently made their way into the support area’s plugins section, letting you add additional optional features to your Big Medium installation.
Multi-page articles
Insert page breaks into your content to spread articles out
over multiple pages.
Watermarks for images
Automatically apply a transparent watermark to image files added to Big Medium’s image library. Update: Version 1.1 of this plugin adds site-specific preferences to adjust your watermark settings for individual sites.
Boost publishers’ library permissions
Allow publisher accounts to edit library items (images, documents, audio/video, people) owned by others.
Avid followers of the Big Medium support forum might recognize these plugins, since they were all developed in response to specific feature requests voiced there. I hope you’ll find them useful.
I hope and expect that more plugins will develop for Big Medium, particularly after I, um, actually get around to finalizing and documenting the plugin developer API so that others can get involved. I expect to do this in coordination with the release of Big Medium 2.1, now in development. (Sorry, I don't have a timeframe for you for that release.)
Until Big Medium’s plugin collection blossoms into a more robust archive, I’ll continue to stow these add-ons in this plugins section of the support FAQ.
What’s on your wish list?
Are there special features or plugins you’d like to see developed for Big Medium? I’m always happy to hear new ideas, and of course I’d be glad to consider yours for inclusion in a future version of Big Medium. Shoot me a note and let me know what's on your mind.

Great plugins. Could we expect an enhanced watermark plugin with the possibility to set settings site by site instead of global settings?
Glad you like these optional new features! I'll be happy to consider new features and settings for these plugins based on overall feedback. In the meantime, if you have specific needs, like the per-site watermarks you mentioned, feel free to open a topic in the support forum, and I'll walk you through the steps to customize the plugin for your requirements.
Thanks for your forum post and the suggestion, Miguel. I've just released v1.1 of the watermark plugin, which adds per-site preferences for your watermark settings. Enjoy!
