Hi Josh I'm playing with jcarousel - the very popular script for scrolling images on websites - and it works fine in Big Medium, but with Internet Explorer 7, jcarousel brings up an 'Error on Page' in the bottom left of the IE browser which I'd like to hide. Two of the three jcarousel scripts are causing this problem though the third one seems not to generate the error. So are the offending scripts badly written or interfering with BM in some way? What could the problem be? Any pointers would be great. Thanks. http://krann.co.uk/jcarousel/ lists the varieties while: http://krann.co.uk/jcarousel/examples/static_auto.html is the one I'd like to get working within BM without the pesky 'Error on page' popping up. John
Hi John, Thanks for your note. jcarousel is a jQuery plugin, and I'm afraid Big Medium pages don't work with jQuery (or at least often run into problems), since Big Medium uses the Prototype.js library instead. My best recommendation is to find a carousel script that works with Prototype instead. (It's on my to-do list to make it possible to use jQuery with Big Medium pages, but until then, I'm afraid it's best to avoid using jQuery scripts in your Big Medium-powered pages.) All best, Josh |
